Faith-based institutions are always a target of crime. Frequently, they are often viewed upon as “easy” targets, with small, isolated staff and many empty hours, making them even more attractive to criminals. These institutions, churches, synagogues and mosques, often hold relics, icons and valuable artwork. Many are antique and composed of precious gems, gold and silver.
